Dear MAU Students, Faculty, and Staff,
As we begin the 2026–2027 academic year, I want to personally welcome each of you to Millennia Atlantic University.
To our new students, welcome to MAU. You are beginning an important chapter in your academic and professional journey, and I am very pleased that you have chosen to become part of our university community.
To our returning students, welcome back. Each new academic year brings another opportunity to build upon what you have already accomplished, challenge yourself, and continue moving closer to your academic and professional goals.
And to our faculty and staff, thank you for the commitment, energy, and dedication you bring to our students and to the University. The experience we provide our students depends on the collective work of people across every area of MAU, and I appreciate the role each of you plays in our continued progress.
This year begins at an exciting time for Millennia Atlantic University. As we move forward from more than two decades of service to our students and community, we continue to strengthen the University while remaining committed to the principles that have guided us from the beginning: education, opportunity, perseverance, and student success.
During the 2026–2027 academic year, we will continue advancing initiatives focused on academic quality, entrepreneurship and innovation, technology, professional development, athletics, student engagement, and stronger connections between education and the business community. At the center of all these efforts is one objective: creating an environment in which our students have the opportunity to learn, develop, and succeed.
But building a strong university community is a shared responsibility.I encourage our students to attend class, engage with your professors, use the resources available to you, participate in university life, ask for assistance when you need it, and take responsibility for your academic progress. Your education is an investment in yourself, and what you put into the experience will strongly influence what you take from it.
I encourage our faculty to continue challenging and inspiring our students while connecting academic learning with the professional world they will encounter beyond the classroom.
And I encourage our staff to continue approaching every student interaction with professionalism, collaboration, and an understanding that each of us contributes to the student experience.
One of the things I value most about MAU is that we remain a university where students can be known as individuals. As we continue to grow, we must preserve that quality. Growth should never cause us to lose the personal attention, accessibility, and sense of community that are important parts of who we are.
I am proud of what our university has accomplished, but I am even more enthusiastic about what we can accomplish together this year.
To everyone joining us for the first time, welcome to the MAU family. To those continuing their journey with us, welcome back.
I wish all of you a successful, productive, and rewarding 2026–2027 academic year.
Welcome to a new year at Millennia Atlantic University. Let’s make it a great one!
Warm regards,
Dr. Aristides Maza Duerto
President
