Verification of Student Identity, Privacy, and Authentication

The G Suite for Education and Google Classroom products being used for online students have restricted access and a password protected electronic environment. Prior to using the software system, an online student’s identity must be verified by way of an assigned unique login and password that is provided to each student upon enrollment and class registration.

It is the student’s responsibility to strictly preserve the privacy of his or her login and password information. Students are prohibited from sharing login and password information and must set-up a two-step verification authentication process to provide an additional layer of security and to prevent any unauthorized users to access the account.

Student identity is verified through comparison with photo identification provided by the student at the time of enrollment and the student photo included in the class roster. Instructors have access to class roster which displays a visual image of the students who are registered in the class.
